The importance of content for any digital marketing campaign should never be understated. We should also consider that our actions are, in many ways, related to marketing.

We are marketing ourselves when we submit our resumes, go in for our interviews, go out on dates, and socialize with other individuals. Our words and actions in these situations represent our content. Whether we put effort into presenting ourselves or not, we’re already leaving an impression on the people we interact with—whether it be good or bad.

Digital marketing mirrors these everyday scenarios we put ourselves in. However, instead of having to talk or present yourself to people, your content now comes in the form of graphs, images, and typography. So, it seems you’ve been marketing for the better part of your conscious life. Can you now call yourself an expert? The short answer is “no”.

Change can sometimes be scary. Our everyday routines have become so ingrained into our lives that some of us can’t imagine doing these things any other way. Change is necessary. We need to adapt and evolve to the ever-shifting landscape of the world we live in.

To say the digital world shifts as often as the real one is putting it very lightly. In the increasingly dynamic digital world, it’s a perpetual race to outpace your competitors. Who has the latest facilities, technologies, and ways to woo their customers? Who is able to expand and grow their business faster? What trends are capturing the attention of online users?

Speaking of trends, they are disrupting the digital marketing environment more than they ever have before, to the point that something that was effective a few years ago may no longer be relevant today.

Back then, you could post any kind of content related to your business and grow followers by the day. To achieve that now comes at a premium. If you aren’t going above and beyond for your target audiences and creating meaningful interactions with them, you’re letting competitors leave you in the dust.

This is a topic I like to write about: content marketing. It’s a topic I am involved with every day, 24/7, for most than a decade. This fact only doesn’t make me an expert in the field by it gives me a perspective based on my personal experience and the issues i have to deal with on a constant basis.

Content marketing is effective. It’s not only my opinion, it’s a fact. Most of the content marketers have real faith in it.

Why?

If done correctly, it can produce great results and convert audience into customers quite effectively.

We see that 42% of the marketers are confident that content marketing can help their strategies.

While some of you might argue that this is a small number, it really isn’t.

Consider the fact the Facebook is the most popular social media platform and at the same time, the most popular content distribution channel for marketers. And still, only 37% of them think that Facebook marketing is effective.

Therefore, 42% is not a small number at all.

Content Marketing

We all know how important content is for a marketing campaign. At the same time, we all know that everything we do is related to marketing.

We are marketers when we create our resumés for a new job. We are marketers when we go to the interview. We are marketers when we go on dates, when we socialize with other people, when we talk with the person behind the counter that serves us our morning coffee. The content represents what we talk, the gestures we make, our posture, the way we dress.

When it comes to online digital marketing, things are not that different. Instead of verbal, content is written and visual appearance is replaced by images, graphs and typographies. However, having to deal with marketing related stuff all day long does not make us all experts.

Everybody makes mistakes. Fortunately, in most of the cases they can be repaired and if not, we can learn not to repeat them the second time. Today, I am going to sum up some of the most common mistakes related to content marketing. I hope that together, we will learn to avoid them in the future and get the most out of our marketing campaigns.

Time is money, spend it wisely. Avoidable mistakes can cost you a lot of time.

Content Marketing

Do you ever wonder about how to write the perfect post? Do you ever wonder about how some of the greatest marketing and content writing professionals manage to always write great content for their audience?

I’ve been working for more than a decade writing and rewriting posts for different individuals and companies. You can say that I have some experience in this industry. Or, that I am already a well trained professional as a content writer.

Forget it.

How other view and value your work depends not only on your personal style of writing but also on how they relate to it. It depends on their emotional response to a specific text. It depends also on how you manage to establish an effective line of communication with your employer and as a consequence, adapt to their needs, their guidelines and at some point, their values. Nevertheless, there are a few things that may ensure you that what you have written, even if it’s not considered to be a work of art, may still be published and get high regards.
